The computers and accessories are being transported to a local depot before being refurbished by NSCC students and CAP Site volunteers and sent to Bela Crkva, Yugoslavia.

The Nova Scotia Community College, Middleton, Nova Scotia, donated many monitors and other hardware components in the process of preparing sixty-two of the donated computers for shipment to Bela Crkva, Yugoslavia. May 10/03

CORPORATE PARTICIPANTS

ATCO-Frontech participated in the Computers for Kids in Yugoslavia program by providing at no charge, information related to packaging and shipping by air and by sea, for the transportation of the computers and monitors to Bela Crkva, FR Yugoslavia. ATCO Frontec is a North American leader in technical services for the resource, telecommunications, transportation, utility and defence sectors.

 

Purolator, a major courier service, participated in the Computers for Kids in Yugoslavia program by providing free pickup of donated computers from schools throughout Nova Scotia from November 2002 to February 2003. The computers and accessories were transported to a depot before being refurbished and sent to Bela Crkva, FR Yugoslavia.

Martock Software of Windsor, Nova Scotia, apart from being a significant donor of computer equipment, provided significant ongoing managerial and technical advice for the Computers for Kids in Yugoslavia program.

The Nova Scotia Community College, Middleton, Nova Scotia, participated in the Computers for Kids in Yugoslavia program by evaluating, assembling and repairing
sixty-two of the donated computers, making them ready to ship to Bela Crkva, FR Yugoslavia. Students of computer hardware design and repair, undertook the task as part of their course work and as a charitable effort on behalf of the college.

Harvey and Warren, chartered accountants of Windsor, Nova Scotia, participated in the Computers for Kids in Yugoslavia program by providing free accounting services thereby assisting with matters related to the tax implications of charitable donations.
