WHERE IS BELA CRKVA?

 

Bela Crkva ("White Church") is a borough of one town and several villages situated in the south-eastern part of the Vojvodina region of FR Yugoslavia. The main town of the borough, Bela Crkva, is less than 100 Km from Belgrade, the capital of the country. Approximately 25,700 people live in the borough of which 12,300 live in the town itself. The borough has a multi-national character with the following nationalities represented: Serbs, Romanians, Hungarians, Romanies, Czechs, Montenegrins, Croats, Slovaks, Albanians and others. Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestants Christians make up the majority of the population.
