PROJECT BELATECH

Our letter to the 180 elementary schools in Nova Scotia, Canada.

COMPUTERS  FOR  KIDS  IN  YUGOSLAVIA

Project BelaTech - an effort of International Friends of Bela Crkva (Registration as a Canadian society is in process.)

Don’t throw away your old computers, please!  The school children of Yugoslavia would be happy to have them.

International Friends of Bela Crkva (White Church), Headquartered in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, has undertaken the matter of providing computers, new and used, to elementary schools, high schools and public libraries of Bela Crkva, FR Yugoslavia.

Our efforts are charitable, humanitarian, educational, non-governmental and nonprofit.

Yugoslavia has been rebuilding from a long war, but much remains to be done. There are virtually no computers in the classrooms of Bela Crkva, a borough about 50 miles from Belgrade, and unless something is done about it, the future looks grim. The children need a chance.

And you can make a difference! Your old 486s and Pentiums, the ones that you were going to discard or upgrade, can be put to good use in Yugoslavia.

A major courier service has graciously offered to participate in this effort by picking-up any donated computers (including monitors, keyboards, and accessories). Please see the shipping instructions below.

Your computers will be refurbished in Nova Scotia, and sent to Bela Crkva (White Church). Please, for kids’ sake ...

Thank you.
